Hope all of you were safe throughout the Lunar New Year celebration!
With the celebration ending soon, we’re running out of mandarin oranges to give in our visits. We still do have virtual oranges to give on our website though, so make sure you check them out one last time before we close off the page for good.
Since fruits are in season though, we thought it’s only right to introduce a newly joined colleague of ours, who’s name also happens to be… a fruit! Today’s segment is dedicated to get to know her a little better, among other things!
She’s recently joined the Partnership team, and she hails from Ipoh. Say hi to Apple!
I knew a question like this was coming first! 🤣
Contrary to popular belief, I did not give myself this name. When I was a baby, my mom actually thought that my face looked like an apple because of how red my cheeks were.
She gave me the name since then, and while I was picked on in school for it, I gradually grew to embrace and accept it. It’s a pretty good conversation starter, after all!
I guess we could start from my title? Hahaha 😝
My official title is Senior Executive, Partnership Success. On the daily, I find potential partners to bring them closer to our neighbourhoods. That’s how residents like you get to enjoy JaGaApp-exclusive deals, products and services!
Most of these are found in the Marketplace section in JaGaApp, so do check them out for the latest deals and home services available for you.
Chances are, you may have also seen barrier gate panels at your guard house before. That’s most probably placed by my team, and it’s one the many ways we help brands bring exciting deals to you!
We won’t bring you medical services though, because an Apple a day, keeps the doctor away! R-r-right? 🙈
I played volleyball back in high school. Many did not expect me to be a player because of my short stature (editor: for context, she’s under 160cm), but I was actually a setter for my school team. At some point, I even became the volleyball captain, hehe.
I’m not sure if it’s fun for you or the readers, but I think those were the days where I really had a good time with my friends.
Oh there’s one! If you’re unfamiliar with the sport, the setter is a player that sets up an attack for the spiker. I’m often placed in situations where I not only have to read how my team’s reacting in defence, but also to look for openings in our opponents to attack. The better I can “set” the ball for the spiker, the more effective the attack will be.
Looking back, I think my role in JaGaApp is pretty consistent with my time as a setter too. I’m still a “middleman” that connects people, and I need to make sure I get the delivery of the “message” right.
And just like how I don’t want to disappoint my team in a volleyball game, I try to live up the wishes of my clients by ensuring their campaigns are well-delivered, like a really good spike!
Do continue to support JaGaApp the same way you have been doing! All I can say is 2023 is going to be a very exciting year for our users, so I hope you continue to show us the same love as before.
