Ramadan Kareem. If you’re reading this newsletter, you probably fall into one of two types of readers:
Is there a difference? Yes there is!
In fact, we’ve had our fair share of confused residents writing in to us asking if they have downloaded the correct app every now and then. 😅
We do not blame you though. We admit, it is confusing, and we consciously want to do better. That’s why we’re going to talk about it with Sya’adah, from the Operations team!
We’ll discuss:
(P/S: Interview excerpt below has been lightly paraphrased for coherence and legibility)
I’m Sya’adah, and I’m part of the Operations team for around 9 months now. My team actually deal with all parties: the management, residents and guards on the daily.
In my case, my main work’s more customer experience-related. I deal with clients who are facing technical issues with our platform. Additionally, I am also involved the migration project, where we migrate our neighbourhoods from JaGaApp 1.0 to JaGaApp 2.0.
Migration is the process of moving data from JaGaApp 1.0, to JaGaApp 2.0. You will only need to undergo migration IF your property is currently using JaGaApp 1.0.
A lot might not know this, but both applications were built on totally different infrastructures! We do this for a few reasons:
Users who have been with us for a long time might know that JaGaApp 1.0 had a few limitations, and we’ve long wanted to address that. JaGaApp 2.0 is our answer to that!
It’s unfortunate, but most of the delays were things we couldn’t control even if we wanted to. 😔
We need to coordinate with all stakeholders of the building (management, guards, committee). Some things that often gets discussed are:
And those are decisions that takes time! ⏳
Ultimately, we try to make sure things are well-communicated to the working parties. The migration is only seamless if they are equipped with the knowledge to use our 2.0 platform after all!
To all users that are still on 1.0, please be patient! We are in the midst of finding ways to migrate neighbourhoods faster, and you will definitely be contacted when the time comes.
If you have more questions to ask, feel free to check out our Resources page as well! we have videos and FAQs about the migration that can help you. 😊
